5 Aluminum Extrusion Profiles an Indonesia Factory Exports

    OliviaBy OliviaAugust 7, 2026No Comments4 Mins Read

Aluminum extrusion is the process of forcing a heated aluminum billet through a shaped steel die. This manufacturing method is one of the reasons why companies source finished profiles from an Indonesian aluminum extrusion manufacturer instead of machining them from raw stock locally. Unlike aluminum, mild steel is typically fabricated by cutting, bending, or welding separate components together to achieve the desired shape. Aluminum profiles emerge from the extrusion die with their final cross-section already formed, weigh roughly one-third as much as steel, and naturally develop a protective oxide layer that improves corrosion resistance without requiring galvanizing before shipment.

PT Exalum Metal Indo has operated its aluminum extrusion facility in West Jakarta, Indonesia, for many years, supplying architectural and industrial aluminum profiles to customers worldwide. Browsing the current range of Exalummetal industrial aluminum products shows why many buyers specify standard profiles instead of investing in custom tooling. The company maintains an extensive library of existing extrusion dies, allowing customers to select from proven profile designs with consistent dimensions and repeatable quality across production runs. This helps reduce both lead time and tooling costs for projects that can use standard sections.

    1. Flat Bar

Flat bar is the general-purpose stock a fabrication shop reaches for first, cut into brackets, spacers, and machine bases for a factory floor. Each size is called a section, a single fixed profile with its own catalog number that stays the same on every reorder. Section 10082 is 33.00 mm wide by 16.00 mm thick with a 2.00 mm radius, weighing 1.421 kg per metre. Section 10083 is close behind at 38.00 mm by 19.00 mm with the same radius, weighing 1.947 kg per metre, and thicker sizes like these need more press force, which is why buying from a tooled catalog beats commissioning one for a single order.

    1. Spandrel

Spandrel is the profile that covers the structural floor line on a building’s exterior, hiding the gap between window bands and floor slabs in curtain wall facades. Profile 62020 spans 97.00 mm with a 9.30 mm return leg at only 0.80 mm wall, weighing 0.260 kg per metre. Holding that wall consistently across the full width is a die design achievement, since metal flow has to stay even from centre to edge or the profile leaves the press twisted.

    1. Equal Angle

Equal angle reinforces corners wherever two surfaces meet at 90 degrees, from shelving brackets to structural gussets. Types 20046 and 20047 both carry a 19.00 mm leg, but at 1.20 mm and 1.00 mm wall, weighing 0.120 and 0.100 kg per metre. That 0.20 mm wall difference is a separate die, letting an importer size for actual load instead of shipping extra weight.

    1. C Channel

C Channel or unequal channel guides moving parts along one axis while retaining them on the other, most often as sliding tracks for partitions, cabinet doors, and glazing panels. This variant, numbered 32042, is 12.70 mm wide against a 50.80 mm depth in a 0.90 mm wall, weighing 0.182 kg per metre. That deep, narrow shape is nearly impossible to fold from sheet, but a die produces it identically on every reorder.

    1. Heat Sink

Heat sink is the shape built to pull heat away from electronic components such as LED drivers, power supplies, and motor controllers, exposing as much fin surface as possible to moving air. Catalog code 96010 is 35.00 mm wide and only 10.00 mm high in a 1.00 mm wall, weighing 0.313 kg per metre, with a listed perimeter of 159.253 mm, the figure that approximates dissipating surface area.

These five profiles cover most of what an export order needs from an aluminum extrusion factory. General-purpose stock, thin architectural panels, structural corners, retention tracks, and thermal management, all built from dies Exalum already owns.

    Requesting a Quotation

If your project requires aluminum extrusion profiles in production quantities, Exalum Metal supports architectural and industrial customers with volume supply from Indonesia to markets including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada. To receive a quotation, send your profile drawings or section numbers, required cut lengths, estimated order volume, and finishing specifications, such as anodizing or powder coating, to [email protected] or WhatsApp +62 811 9429 970. Our team will review your requirements and recommend the most suitable extrusion solution for your project.
